Sustainability at TYP

We are an earth-wise event. We represent our values through actions and have designed an environmental impact reduction plan which will be integrated into all aspects of our event. We will educate and encourage positive environmental behaviour throughout the event. Our environmental commitment includes:

KIA Ireland is our sustainable Transport Partner for The Yoga Picnic. In 2024 and 2025, we used Kia EV’s in this first of its kind initiative to power all tents using Vehicle-to-Device (V2D) technology. This allows us to reduce our need for diesel powered generators, one of the steps that we are taking to ensure we tread lightly as we create this beautiful festival.

The Yoga Picnic has also partnered with Hometree Charity, where TYP donated a portion of the ticket sales to buy 1/10th of an acre of land in the West of Ireland for restoration, turning what was a degraded habitat back into an oceanic woodland. Overtime, there will be hundreds of trees growing there, with all the life that that brings. Year on year, we want to contribute to the well-being of the planet.. Hometree were also represented at the festival with a talk on their earthwise and sustainable tree-planting and land restoration initiatives.
