Kia Ireland and The Yoga Picnic — united by a shared commitment to sustainability, community, and a cleaner world.
Kia Ireland · Official EV & V2L Partner
Official Sustainable Transport Partner · Vehicle-to-Load Technology
Kia Ireland is our official Sustainable Transport Partner for The Yoga Picnic. In a first-of-its-kind initiative for 2024 and 2025, Kia EVs powered all festival tents using Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology — dramatically reducing our reliance on diesel generators.
This partnership is a natural fit. Kia, a pioneer in sustainable practices within the car manufacturing industry, shares our vision of promoting a sustainable lifestyle and treading lightly on the earth. Together, we're demonstrating that large outdoor events can run beautifully on clean energy.
For The Yoga Picnic, this is one of the most meaningful steps we take to ensure the festival we love leaves as little impact as possible — and Kia makes it possible.
Kia's Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology allows electric vehicle owners to power external electronic devices — using the car's battery as a silent, zero-emission generator. At TYP, this means every speaker, light, and kitchen appliance on site runs on clean electricity.
V2L is available on all fully electric Kia models, accessible via the socket under the rear seats or through the external charging port using the dedicated connector.
We are delighted to be partnering with The Yoga Picnic and to power the event with V2L technology. We are very much two organisations with shared goals and visions, and look forward to working together to reduce the environmental impact and carbon footprint of this fantastic festival.Cathal Kealey · Head of Marketing & PR, Kia Ireland
